Asia’s parliament guidelines out allowing marriage that is same-sex

BEIJING — Limiting marriage to a relationship between a guy and a lady will stay China’s appropriate position, a parliament spokesman stated on Wednesday, governing away following neighboring Taiwan in enabling same-sex wedding, despite force from activists.

Taiwan’s parliament passed a bill in May that endorsed same-sex marriage, after many years of hot debate over wedding equality which has had split the self-ruled and island that is democratic.

China, which claims Taiwan as the territory, features a thriving gay scene in major towns and cities, but there is small indication the ruling Communist Party will legalize same-sex wedding.
